Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery

Cardiovascular and respiratory diseases are one of the leading causes of death globally. A predominant number of these disorders can be prevented if risk factors are recognised. Early diagnosis, prompt and appropriate treatment if instituted can prolong and save many lives.

At Prince Court Medical Centre, The Heart and Lung Centre is equipped with state of the art non-invasive and invasive diagnostic facilities. With two cardiac catherization, electrophysiology, nuclear, pulmonary laboratories and armed with a 64-slice ct, pet scanners and a 1.5 Tesla MRI, we can provide a one-stop comprehensive diagnostic facility for heart and lung diseases.

The centre has also two dedicated operating rooms and a well-equipped cardiothoracic postoperative intensive care unit to cater for patients undergoing heart and lung surgery. Thoracic surgical procedures and especially lung resection for cancer will be synergetic with the activities of the Cancer Center at Prince Court.
