Besides, we conduct Medical Nutrition Therapy based on our client’s health condition. The aim of service is to promote good nutrition, to help lower the risk of certain diseases, to improve quality of life and hence, to aid recovery.   • Pre-diabetes/Diabetes Mellitus/ Gestational Diabetes
    The role of the dietitian in these conditions is to carry out the Medical Nutrition Therapy (lifestyle and diet interventions) which has been found to be able to manage diabetes besides medications. An individualized diet plan  will be given according to the patient’s needs. The dietitian will also assist you in making better lifestyle changes.
  •  Cardiovascular Diseases (Hypertension, coronary heart disease, heart failure, stroke, cholesterol)
    Many patients with cardiovascular diseases have benefited from lifestyle interventions which include exercise training as well as nutrition counseling. The dietitian will assist you in making lifestyle changes.
  • Cancer (oncology)
    Nutrition plays a very important role in caring for people with cancer. Besides, many cancer therapies may have unpleasant side effects such as nausea, vomiting, constipation, cachexia, fatigue, weight loss and soreness of   mouth and throat. Hence, a dietitian is able to conduct a proper Medical Nutrition Therapy to prevent or minimize the side effects of the treatment and to ensure the patient meets to the required nutrient needs at all times.
  •  Kidney dietary management (dialysis/non-dialysis patients)
    Kidneys functions as a way to remove waste products from the body. However, in kidney (renal) patients, there are some food and drinks groups to be restricted or taken to a minimal amount.  The dietitian will do an         individualized diet plan for you according to your blood profile, current medical condition, nutrition status as well as current treatment.  This is to help you to achieve adequate nutrient needs.
  •  Weight Management (Underweight, overweight, obesity)
    Many studies have linked overweight and obesity to an increased risk of heart diseases, diabetes, cancer and other chronic conditions.

The dietitian is to assist you in your journey to weight loss according to a proper weight management care according to the evidenced based practice.
